Is June 6 a typo? That's a Thursday. Not a typo! We are getting married on a Thursday. Thanks to recent life events (looking at you, Moving to Montana), we didn't get quite the window we needed to snag a wedding venue on a Saturday in June. We're kind of glad for it, though, because this means we can plan our branding for Saturday! Anyway, yes, we hope to see you and celebrate our marriage with you on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

So Montana ... does that make the dress code Western? Not at all! Please come as your authentic self—the version of you we know and love. We hope to have an outdoor ceremony, so we do recommend comfortable footwear for crossing lawns and walking up and down slight hills, but dress could be casually classified as something along the lines of "Sunday Best meets Cocktail Attire."

What's the weather like in early June in Montana?Great question. ... We don't know. It could be 85 or it could be snowing. The historical average notes a high of 74 and a low of 50, but we will update this FAQ as the date nears and weather predictions become a little more tangible. We do know June 6 is a new moon, so bring a warm layer to enjoy the stars—the evenings do cool off considerably that time of year.

I can't attend everything you're planning. Can I only attend the wedding?Absolutely! We know it's a lot to ask for everyone to travel so far. We understand and encourage each of our guests to travel in a way that makes the most sense for you. If you want to spend your time here with us, we'll be so glad to have you. But if you want to seize the long weekend to take a road trip and visit Yellowstone National Park, we don't blame you—it's beautiful! In fact, keep an eye out for our travel page for insights on things to do in the area. It's coming soon! Our biggest ask (beyond the travel) is for your RSVPs for the following events: — Wedding, June 6 (Billings) — Brunch, June 7 (Billings) — )IL Branding, June 8 (Lodge Grass)

Your invitation says Adults Only. Can you clarify? After working through innumerable considerations and variables, we have decided that Adults Only makes the most sense for the wedding ceremony and reception. We are keenly aware that Adults Only is not an ideal decision for everyone, and it truly pains us to know the choice may cause difficulties for some. For anyone who is interested in finding local child care, 406 Nannies has been recommended to us. We've also discovered a Billings Babysitting group on Facebook, and Gabby can put you in touch with some seemingly promising leads she's found. Exceptions: Infants. Also children belonging to the wedding party and the immediate families of the bride and groom. Which Events are Adults Only? + The wedding ceremony and reception at Camelot Ranch on June 6 are Adults Only. + Children are welcome at the Welcome Event (though it is at a bar), the Brunch, and at the )IL Branding and Ranch Feed. + Additional Wedding Event information can be found HERE

Have you met Mr. & Mrs. Bridezilla?Turns out there are a lot of legal documents that get signed in the course of planning a wedding. Here are some key takeaways and rules from our vendors that will ensure Gabby and Chris get to enjoy their day fully as the new Mr. and Mrs. Farthing instead of as The Bridezillas 👀 No outside alcohol. A violation of this rule will subject the bride and groom to monetary fines. Bridezilla Rating: 🦍🦍 Newlyweds Note: Chris and Gabby have big plans. Silly fines do not help us achieve them. No drugs or firearms. Camelot Ranch is a private property with a strict firearm and drug policy. The police will be called if anyone is found in violation of this rule. Bridezilla Rating: 🦍🦍🦍🦍 Newlyweds Note: Flashing red and blue is not the color scheme for our wedding. No swimming. The water feature was not designed for it. Please avoid hospital visits and fines for the newlyweds by staying dry. Bridezilla Rating: 🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍 Newlywed Note: Only the bride gets to wear white, so hospital gowns are definitely out. Editor's Note: Yes, I know the 🦍 is King Kong and not Godzilla ... but Wix's emoji options are weaksauce ... and I like the 🦍, so, 😎

The hotel's booking link isn't showing the rate promised. Help?Check to make sure your dates of stay begin no sooner than June 4 and reflect a check-out date no later than June 9. Unfortunately, if you are planning to arrive sooner or stay later, the blocked rates can only be applied to the June 4-9 part of your stay. It is possible that we've filled our block. Please reach out to Pam Schiavino (Mother of Bride), who is in communication with each of the hotels, to determine if we can get more rooms or if you'll need to try another hotel. Her phone is (410) 530-2481 and email is pgs0705@aol.com. Please note that each of the hotels will not offer the discounted rate after a certain cutoff date to ensure they are able to accommodate other travelers, and we do not expect much flexibility on the matter. Cutoff dates are listed for each hotel on the Hotels page.

We're exploring other Billings lodging options. Any recommendations?Generally speaking, Billings' West End has seen the most development in recent years, so the roads, retail opportunities and general amenities are new. Our hotel block at the Homewood Suites (read more about it on the Hotels page) would put you in the vicinity of these amenities. If you're considering a non-hotel option like an AirBnB, the grocery store we've enjoyed shopping at the most is the Albertson's at 5317 Grand Ave, Billings, MT 59106. A general note on Billings: Please remember that Chris and Gabby are very new to the area and we visit Billings regularly, but not often enough to "know" Billings. We learn something new every time we go. Like all cities, there are parts where we feel more comfortable and parts where we feel like we need to be actively aware of our surroundings. To date, we've had only good experiences (especially at the restaurants — Billings has great dining options!), but we sincerely recommend employing the same kind of environmental/situational awareness you would use any time you are unfamiliar with your surroundings.

The branding is outside of Billings. Where do you recommend staying?Lodge Grass is about 1.5 hours southeast of Billings, so it is absolutely possible to day trip to the ranch and back in a day, though it might mean an early morning depending on whether you have a horse and are able to help on the gather. If you would prefer to stay closer, we are working on building a page with more helpful information, so keep checking back!

Do I need to rent a car?On our wedding day, we plan to provide transportation from a pickup point near the Downtown Hotels to the wedding venue at Camelot Ranch and back at the conclusion of the event. Details are tbd. The Downtown Hotels all feature a free airport shuttle, so, if your plan is to stay downtown, attend the wedding events (Welcome, Wedding and Brunch), and to return to the airport, you should be able to do all of the above without having to rent a car. Please note that the Homewood Suites in West Billings does not feature an airport shuttle, nor will our wedding day transportation service this location. We do not have formal transportation planned to go to Lodge Grass on Branding Day. However, it seems possible that a wedding group rideshare could develop. As your plans and wishes for the trip materialize, please feel free to let Chris and Gabby know your thoughts and needs on this matter. Having a pulse on who will have a vehicle and room for fellow wedding guests and also who is hoping to find a ride for the day will help us figure out the options.
