"I am in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love."
— John Steinbeck, "Travels with Charley: In Search of America"

Gabby & Chris
Chris will be glad to tell you that Gabby nearly killed him on their first date: "Hypothermia is no joke," he will say. Gabby will roll her eyes and tell you that she tried to warn him.
And so our tale began, on a freezing winter night, dining on an outdoor patio in snowy Colorado thanks to COVID restrictions.

Admittedly, Gabby and Chris appear to be a bit of an odd couple at first glance: she's an East Coast prep school girl who grew up competing as a hunter/jumper at horse shows throughout Maryland and the other mid-Atlantic states, while Chris was raised in the ways of his family's Wyoming cattle ranching legacy, now a fifth-generation operation.
Nonetheless, in the final years of their 30s, the couple found in each other someone who knew well the challenges of leaving the comforts of home, determined to cut a path of their own; a path that led them to each other—finally!

More than anything, we are looking forward to celebrating our marriage with the gift of your great company. However, we understand that for some, gifting is an important part of the tradition. Don't mind our eclectic wish list—we've had a lot of years to accumulate the more "typical" items that most newlyweds ask for!
